I nodded a faded greeting
ill received just like the usual meeting
weary from unresponsive faces
that mistook it for a pick up
often ended in a punch up.
Another nail in freedoms coffin
walking through these crowded streets
I take these meaner feats
wrap up my tailored softness
in the hopes that someone else's face
can pry it back unsafe again.

this is the "rough" idea concerning the entranceway to the Groovespook's Lounge - the basement.
